Asif Parkar, FRICS, ICAL
Asif has led the themed entertainment group at Cumming since 2012. His areas of responsibility comprise project management and estimating, including for the ride and show disciplines.
The types of projects Asif manages include theme parks and attractions, zoos/aquariums, virtual reality, water parks, family entertainment centers, and full resorts. In this sector, he has worked for industry leaders such as Disney, Universal, and Merlin Entertainments, along with a number of highly regarded creative design and architecture teams. His project portfolio is international in scope.
Katie has been in construction-related industries since 1984. She has served in both cost management and project management roles throughout her career. Katie’s portfolio includes work for DXB Entertainment, The Hettema Group, Merlin Entertainment, and many more. She has experience working in the United States, Mexico, UAE, China, Japan, Brazil, Jordan, and Spain.
Robert has worked in the construction industry since 1983. He has managed, scheduled, and estimated a variety of project types nationally and around the world, with an emphasis on themed entertainment. He has worked on national and international projects with budgets in excess of $5 billion.
Nathan Yang, P.Eng
Associate Director – Asia Lead
Nathan is a senior estimating professional with more than eight years of experience in the construction industry throughout North America and Asia. He is an expert in estimating, quantity surveying, budgeting, financial forecasting, project controls, change management, and reporting. His project portfolio is international in scope, with a focus on projects in Asia.
Senior Project Manager – Global Project Management
Abdol has more than 15 years of project management experience in the themed entertainment sector. He is skilled at leading teams from the early design stages through to project closeout, identifying potential project risks, and delivering projects that meet the owner’s and operator’s aesthetic, functional, and financial expectations. Abdol has managed international projects in the Middle East and is now based in Orlando. His client portfolio includes Disney, Merlin Entertainment, DXB Entertainments “Dubai,” and Majid Al Futtaim “Dubai.”
Senior Cost Manager – US Cost Lead
Daniel has been a professional estimator since 2010 and has estimated themed entertainment projects since 2013. Having worked on themed entertainment projects throughout the US and Middle East, he has established himself as our show estimating expert. Daniel’s portfolio includes Disney, Universal Studios, and DXB Entertainments. Daniel is based in Orlando.
Project Manager – US Project Management
Chapel has been providing project management services for the themed entertainment community since 2011. She has focused primarily on domestic projects and worked with household names such as Disney and Universal. She believes that integrating on-site with the team, and engaging in frequent and open communication, are the keys to successful project execution. Beyond managing the budget and schedule, Chapel dedicates much of her time to aligning the scope with exactly what the client is requesting. Chapel is based in California and holds a degree in Production Technology and Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
Senior Cost Manager – Live Entertainment
Andy’s expertise is with live shows and productions, for which he helps clients assemble appropriate budgets and then adhere to them as the design develops. Andy possesses a detailed understanding of crew costs, production set-up costs, pyrotechnics, show sets, props, costumes, effects, rehearsals, and training considerations. Andy is based in Orlando.
Senior Cost Manager – Associate Director, Quantity Surveying
Paul has a background in quantity surveying and is an expert with post-contract controls and management. He has successfully managed and navigated the finances of themed entertainment projects through final account and closure. Paul’s client portfolio includes Disney and DXB Entertainments. Paul is based in Orlando.
