Cumming Group provided project and cost management services for the renovation of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in downtown Boston. The $7 million project included a spa renovation and upgrades to 793 rooms on 13 floors, with each room receiving all new bedding, TVs, artwork, lighting, and back-painted glass tops on all case goods. An additional 132 rooms were converted from king rooms to double/double rooms, and received all the same upgrades noted above, as well as new carpet and headboards. The renovated floors also received corridor enhancements, including new carpet, vinyl wall coverings, ceiling light fixtures, new paint on the ceilings and door trims, and new FF&E. The project was completed in March 2018.
