San Diego-based Cumming, which provides construction project management and cost consulting services, has expanded its international operations by opening a new office in Dubai.

Company officials said the new office in TECOM, one of the region’s largest commercial office developments, replaces a smaller Dubai space that Cumming occupied in Emaar Square. Cumming is also retaining its office in the Khalediya area of Abu Dhabi, which has been open for more than five years.

Cumming now has more than 50 employees in the Middle East, with operations in that region headed by International President Alastair Burns. It opened its first physical office in the United Arab Emirates in 2008.

Led by founder and CEO Finlay Cumming, the company was started in 1996 and has 21 offices in the United States. It serves clients in industries including hospitality, government, education and healthcare.
