The VA Palo Alto Health Care System is undertaking a $560+ million construction program at its main Palo Alto Campus. This extensive program includes a new 174,000-sq.-ft. polytrauma-blind rehabilitation center, a 325,000-sq.-ft. ambulatory care center, a 95,000-sq.-ft. research facility, a 30,000-sq.-ft. recreational services building, multiple parking structures, remolding and expanding the existing radiology facility, as well as associated site and utility improvements. Cumming Group provided peer review services for phase one ($120 million) of the VA Palo Alto program and re-benchmarked and validated phase two ($441 million) at the same campus. Our contract continued with the design architect for full estimating and cost management services through design development and construction documents for all six packages of phase two projects.
