Cumming Group is providing project management, cost management, scheduling, and value engineering services to the new Jacobs Medical Center. The project includes a new 55,000-sq.-ft. central plant, a new 510,000-sq.-ft., 10-story hospital tower and roughly 80,000 sq. ft. of renovations to the existing Thornton Hospital. On this new $850 million state-of-the-art hospital project, Cumming Group is providing full-time project management support to the University of California, San Diego with a senior project manager in charge of the central plant project and overall facility MEP systems. In addition, Cumming Group has provided independent cost and schedule management services from project inception throughout construction.
